Penistone – With its excellent, and extremely busy, Thursday market is well worth a visit. There are numerous shops, banks, a post office, library (with loads of ‘what’s on and where’ info.) and the Vicarage Tea Rooms, for a well earned cuppa. The Pennine Trail goes through Penistone making it a pleasant walk from the caravan site. Then if you’re too tired to walk back, catch a bus – there’s a stop right outside the caravan site gates! http://www.visitpenistone.co.uk

If you prefer a little exercise....
Thurlmoor Caravan site is situated in an ideal location for long (or short) country walks. Guided walks can be arranged upon request, incorporating café or pub stop along the way. Access to the Trans PennineTrail is a short walk from the site and is also ideal for horse riding and cycling.
